Longshoremen at the Alcatraz
on masonite, 30"x40"
ILWU Local 10
was a great support to the Native American occupation at Alcatraz.
During the occupation, the longshoremen provided drinking water
to the Native activists, repaired trucks for use on the island,
and filled the Bay with any available freighters to provide cover
from the police to boats coming to and leaving the island.
